Here's Cassidy posing next to a cement dog my dad had. I need to say that my dad named her Hopalong Cassidy because of her gait. A visit to the vet didn't reveal much. They did an exam and surmised that she was likely a "defect" due to breeding. She is a manx cat and we were told that sometimes there is nerve damage in breeding cats with no tails. She is quite charming and has no trouble getting around...in fact, she can climb trees just fine! When she runs, she hops like a bunny but when she walks slowly her gait is more normal.
